Jonh - Couldn`t face the ribbibg in the merc (didnt want to show you all up Grin) so went up in sons Senny.

Gsi firmly parked at back of house but have most of the parts/body pannels now ready for the warmer weather to start rebuild of front end. I actualy went and sat in it yesterday and if you dont look to far down the bonnet it dosnt look that bad Grin

Next meet sunday the 4th of feb

take care brian

Jolly good brian , looking forwarsd to seeing the gsi back on the  raod . meanwhile you could always sell the merc and get a nice DIPLOMAT or CDX . I`m sure someone would give you a good price for the merc , if you feel that bad driving it .

You get all the same toys in the dippy as you do in the merc plus more , and alot more room mate .  Cheesy

John - Sorted the running side out thr guy before had fiddled with the carb and not put it back right.  Now back to normal springs a when he put the sports springs on he kept the normal old shocks on it and didnt reduce the stop bumpers. Resut 2 broken front springs and one brocken shock so gone back to normal springs and one new shock. Looks like a 4 x 4 now Grin

having said that the body is fine and a solid car so i might just keep it around the back of house when the gsi is back on the road as a stand by motor. Also got a years mot as well just flew throgh. considering its 19 years old now i cant complain and you dont see many about in the good condition this one is in especialy with the nice wheels and tyres.

take care brian
