Ho folks.
As we continue the site cleanup you will noticw that the number of members will decrease somewhat.
This is because I have been going through the membership and DELETING any accounts with no posts and no activity for more than SIX MONTHS.
I will be continuing to perform this maintenance once a month from now on so those members that have not posted but do sign in occaisionally be aware - if you dont sign in and your account remains inactive for more than six months, it will be deleted.
Thanks for your time Ladies and Gents.

The respect you lot have for the moderation team is awesome! lol The story so far: I have finished removing inactive accounts and we're down 100+ members! Even I didnt think it would be that many.  Bear in mind though, there are some inactive accounts remaining that didnt fall within the six month time limit, so more will go as time goes on. Then we have the members who joined, left a post to advertise a sale then never returned......

Murph,
I appreciate you time to moderating and controlling this site, by the same token I enjoy this site because of its friendlyness of like minded people from all walks of life helping others out. Yes the banter does get out of hand at times but it does get on track again.
I would love to post more queries but my carltons refuse to break down and seem to go on forever. Hence my banter off topic, but now in the correct place for it. (well nearly anyway).

It really is good to see that the 'spam' posting seems to have been dealt with  Either that, or the posts are being removed so quick that I haven't noticed any lately I do notice, however, that there is still a continuous flow of 'dodgy' usernames appearing at the bottom of the board, which are obviously 'spam' orientated - just that they cant seem to post anything Look at the latest: 'BILLBONDER'.........as in 'BillSticker', ie, someone who posts, sticks, bonds bills or adverts.........shame he didn't manage to 'bond' any NOT  It's damn lucky I don't moderate, cos any dodgy usenames would get promptly deleted before they even got started.....very un-fair (& unlucky) if they turned out to be genuine  Now please don't go & tell me that 'BILLBONDER' was/is a genuine poster & NOT a SPAMMER  OK, OK LOL - so HMK's a bit dodgy sounding too |

What happens is they register then have to be approved before they can post, sometimes takes a while as only the Colonel can do it.
So not many dodgy ones get through but they may sit on the members list for a while until one of us gets bored and deletes them.
