With quite a few members now owning Senators, could this forum now be called Total Carlton & Senator?
It may draw in new members too.
It'd be nice if the title could be done in chrome look lettering, the same as you get on the boot of the cars.
But whatever it's called, it's still a good place to be.

Total Carltonator  Grin

(Yeah I know I stole it from the colonel)

As one of the Senator brigade (though not entirely) I think it best to leave well alone.........don't want the ABS guys thinking we are empire building (I see the groups as complimentary but I don't think that view is universally held)

if we are going down that line of thought, I think you should add estates into the link.

Why not add the colour as well,

My View (ABS member)

I never saw totalcarlton as a threat and it certainly wouldn't be empire building in my mind

I saw it as an opportunity to share accross the boundry lines (that shouldn't be there at all)

I always stated I wouldn't copy paste posts I'd made on ABS to here but if "asked" I'd help where I could (You wouldn't want all 7440 of em anyway)

I like the fact that there are Senator owners on here (better car than a Carlton IMHO and I've owned both)

I don't poach members but the ABS will always be there for people (regardless of car eligability or not) who want more than just a forum

I also like the fact that I get to chose my ID here and I'm not membership number "XXX"-"First name"-"Last name" on here

I also own a four pot carlton as well so qualify on all counts I reckon

People aren't stupid and realise that carlton/senator parts cross over in a lot of aspects - not as many Sennys out there compared to Carltons anyway

JM2pW

PS there is a specific forum for Monzas and I'm on that too even tho the ABS caters for those cars too

PPS In order to show balance the RMOC also cater for Monza's

This happened to the Vx owners club . Which used to be called " CAVWEB"  .

As i was a cavalier owner and owned two of them , it was a club to belong to but then the astra clan wanted to be part of and then the novaboys and chavs turned up with thier corsas . So it kind of spoilt it in the end , so was changed to VXowners club .

The same thing has happened to the total vauxhall magazine , now just full of corsas and novas .

Apart from thge issue which had the Lotus Cartlon write up .

So no disrespect to the senny owners  but lets keep it carlton . Undecided

Think what he means that at a retired age, rather spending money on bills, and food, he would rather spend money on a car that is no longer regarded as main stream.

Hi folks, landed on the moon after the Granada comment, some Jacko guy picked me up on a moon buggy type thing. Thought I would get satelite going by the umbrella, but failed. Its good up here, air is fresh and no traffic. Hope to meet E.T. tomorrow, but he is a busy guy, have to wait and see. PS - talk to you all when I get back to earth, weather permitting.

Well yes I am retired but enjoy spannering with my cars, but it is expensive. Any sane person would put the money towards a modern vehicle and not bother getting their hands dirty. Look at the prices of old carltons and then think of the parts you have bought. Spent three times the value of the car just on parts to keep the old bus running. Lets not talk of the cost of the dreaded rust and respays, or the labour cost factor.
(removes accountant hat and put on normal hat) but we do it for fun and enjoyment.
