Hi.

I have decided that I will be rebuilding my engine on Thursday 28th December.   I was going to do it on the Wednesday but there are several reasons why it has to be Thursday and it would proberably give us time to recover from all that turkey and Booze...  Grin

Will be a 10.00 start and 4.00 finish as I need to get my company car to the dealers for its 60k service, and collect it at 5.00.  6 Hours should see it started up as all the cleaning and refurb work has been done.

If anyone fancy's coming along they are welcome.  I wont post my address on here but I will give you my number.  07973 346978

Either ring me for the address or PM me.  You can also email me which may be better  bstirrup@cbcuk.com

I am in Braintree and its easy to get to either from the A12 or A120.

Hope to see some of you.

Thanks for all your help today D.O.G     Grin

I got the exhaust manifold back on and put a couple of brackets onto the head.

I will be spending Friday trying to get the pin out and proberably getting the brakes done. If I can get that done then I can get the engine back together on Saturday.

I am sorry for the Turkey sandwich, I will try and get some cheese or ham or anything else for next time..... Grin

Managed to get the pin out of the block today, borrowed a decent stud removal tool and it was not too difficult.

Going to try and crack on and rebuild the rest of the engine soon, when are you next available John?

It would be nice to get a few people down to drink tea and chat...... Oh and to get the engine done.. Grin

All done.   Grin

The engine is now all together and running sweeter than ever.   Smiley

Just got to change the brake calipers, discs and pads and I can take it for a nice run.

Nice one brian, Its a good felling when a plan all comes together. Engine looked in good condition when I last saw it, good for another 150000 miles now.

Haven't started on that yet.  Wanted the car running again before I worried about the bodywork.

Going to go to a few bodyshops for a quote.  Any recomendations would be great. Would like a good job but not too pricey.  Grin
