Hello everyone just joined the Forum and look forward to picking your brains about some niggling little faults with my car !!!!!!!!

Its "G" Reg Carlton GSi3000 24v which was an Auto but i have just converted to a Manual which makes it slightly better for driving in my opinion. She has 3 owners from new and was fitted with a Replica Lotus bodykit 10 years ago by the 2nd owner. She has geniune Lotus Alloys etc etc with a few other goodies !!!!!

Hope to talk to every one soon, i would post pictures up here but i havent got a clue how to do it as i have tryed posting pic's of my Manta 400 Rally Car on the Opel Manta's Owner Club Forum and the Chevette HSR i have on Chevettes.com but failed both times so im not gonna even try this time, but i can e-mail photo's if some one wants them.

If anyone had last month's Total Vauxhall with that OHHH so Tasty Lotus Carlton in it you will see a couple of my other cars in the same magazine (2 Opel Manta Rally Cars) all though i have now sold the Red Manta.
And also had a Green Opel Ascona in this month's edition of Retro Cars in the Readers Rides section.

LAND BARGE = You may like the other Manta's i have built but sadly the Bank Balance meant i had to get rid of the Orange and the Red one but all 3 Manta's have been featured in Total Vauxhall though.

Hi there, ive got a manta 400r with gsi24v running gear.  I remember the 400 ronal wheels you had on ebay, awesome.  Dont suppose you know where I can get 245-285/50/r15 tyres from?

Yeah Demon Tweeks do a Michelin TB15 or a TB5 which is a road legal historic rallying tarmac Intermediate tyre in the following sizes :-

215/55 R 15" X TL 79V
270/45 R 15" X TL 86V
295/40 R 15" X TL 87V

BUT they ain't cheap ie £185 to £213 each depending on what size and compound you what.

Thanks, would 270 fit 9 inch wide wheels?  What compound would you reccomend for fast road driving.

I'll be at the next one but again not in the Monza  Shocked It's 22 years old and despite a lot of powder coating it's not going on salted roads

I'll be in summut else!!!!

270 width would fit the 9" wide rim nicely, i would go for a Medium to hard compound that will give you fairly good grip as remember that size tyre is over double what std Manta's had anyway and good wear rate ultimate grip is a super soft but they won't last 5 mins.

As for the Ascona guess what that went to Ireland as well !!!!!! Absolutly mint that one was not a mark or rust bubble in sight and never seen a welder etc etc.
