not really unless you want the hastlle, cheaper to find a better carly and transfer all the bits to that. a reasonable car can be had for between £50 to a £100.

Over here no way, but I really don't know how easy you would get a better shell in Estonia.
Depends on lots of things really but to be honest it looks scrap to me Sad

I'd quite happily scrap Vectra (and maybe someOmega) B's with the god-awful V6 engines in them.

That is VERY rotten Shocked Sad

I would have said that it wasn't worth it, but if you have the equipment & the time & you enjoy that sort of work, then go ahead with it.

I assume that you have long cold winters with lots of salt on the roads in your country, also you either have no (or very lax) MOT type roadworthy testing to allow a car to get as bad as that in the first place.

Or perhaps it has been stood for a long time in a damp building or parked on grass/earth etc outside??

Well, I've liked all of mine, (had three, still have two V6's). Other than the fuel filter popping off the line on my MV6 after it was replaced, I've had 18 months and 40k miles worth of trouble free driving out of it. My wife's 2.5 goes great and other than needing a good wash in and out defies it's 140k miles. The other was a 16v banger I took to Italy, and did need a replacement engine, but that was mainly due to my muppet mate not stopping when the engine started making funny noises. For the record, the banger's still going strong after having been brought back from Italy via the Nurburgring and hasn't missed a beat even having been royally thrashed around Knockhill three times!!

I will say this much though, they ain't cheap to keep and I wouldn't look forward to replacing anything major on one, but having said that, there's a pretty penny to be made in fixing up broken ones.

I must of had a couple bad ones then? had this same discussion on ABS and all said the same, trouble free motoring.
My ex Omegas cost me a fortune to run, at the time a set of plug leads were £70.00 for a set of three, yes!! a set of three from the vx dealers only, why an earth sold in packs of three, when the bloody thing was a 6 cylinder??? do they still do that? can you purchase after market? As i said at the time Omegas were Farley new on the market and every part seemed to be dealer only oe part. So big bucks were spent Cry

Anyway back to the discussion. NO NO NO!! that car aint even worth scrapping, let alone welding. Sorry but you did ask.  Kiss

Make me an offer on mine?Huh no welding here required, just drive it and clean it Wink

my carlton wasn't far this state, there are a number of familar spots of rust, but like some1 said - if u don't mind doing it yourself then crack on with it

I started doing mine as i couldn't find any1 who wud take it on.  Too much work they said

80% completed now so my "carla" (original, i know) will b bak on her own 4 wheels again
