I failed it on the o/s front chassis leg, o/s/r wheel arch and one of the bug susp bushes at the back!...  It was going to cost the bloke nearly £450 to have it repaired...

Front chassis welded - cost £8 (bought a sheet of 16 gauge steel)
Rear arch - repair panel £15
paint etc about £20
susp bush £40
labour - £0  i've done it !!

oh yes, almost forgot .... it's still taxed for 2 months too !

bit off topic but here is my pride and joy, I know it's not a carlton but it's still a vauxhall...

In the background is my old 24v.. it was nice, full leather, heated seats, air con... etc etc  but it had a bad oil leak (topping up with a pint a week) and I think the dual ram was off, especially when a clio 1.9TD could keep up with it !

that is a usefull tool for not a lot of ££ . and the GLI has a decent spec too,so what if you have to wind the sunroof,it's only once a year  Cheesy all the other toys are there.

If the above post contains spelling mistakes / grammatical errors / poor use of the quote function / a very weak retort, or is generally shyte; it's because I'm feked on a cocktail of drugs, homebrew and carb cleaner.sorry
