I was discussing this with scatman and hmk the other night.

Would any of you lincolnshire members be interested in a small local meeting at a local pub here in grantham , as i want to generate interest in this town for the carlton . There are to many boy racers , and i have only seen a few carltons around ( ithink they only come out during the week ends ) .

I know a local pub which seves food and has a large car park , and if its ok with the land lord i`ll ask if we could park a dozen or so carltons in it . Or we can just cruise around and just find a car park to park up in . What do you think any ideas ? Huh Grin

It's on my watch list but i wont be bidding.  I haven't room & it's not really my cup of tea with it only being a 2.6.  If it was a late type 3.0 12v then i would have bid by now!!

it is tempting as in on the watch list , but i have no where to put it and i need to paye for a new set of tyres next month .

But if we can get a at least half a dozen or so members together before the oxford meeting , it would just be nice to have a get together and a good old chin wag about the cars and the club and anything else we care to talk about .  Grin

Im thinking " The Muddle Go Nowhere " , this is off the A52 as you enter the top end of grantham and probably a sunday afternoon . I aint worried about a large turn out just be nice to meet some of you guys and girls .
Also i only live two mins away from the pub , so you could always pop back for coffee before you all go home . Plus it will nice to see the nighbours faces drop seeing a fleet of carltons turn up in the residential carpark. Grin

Why not combine both sort of thing. Donnington meet from miday till about 3pm finish usualy.

Could leave donnington meet a bit early say 2pm  and be at grantham by 3pm at lastest.

So if grantham meet say started at 2pm then all thoes wanting to attend both could.

Unfortunatly i have parts to drop of at Donnington so have to go but it would be a shame not to get over to Grantham

take care brian

Ps- will also be calling in at the oxford meet the following week so if any parts want dropping off Huh??

okay , if i say between 2& 3pm . Is that ok , as i`ll reserve a table in the pub just in case . Im not expecting a large meeting , just thought it would be nice to get some of you guys and gals together before oxford  .

If i reserve a table for at least six of us , would that be okay ? Wink

I'll try & make it if I can.

Another option sometime is that it's usually 'lads afternoon' most Saturday afternoons round at my house. This is car talk, guitar talk (& playing - loud, as my place is detached Grin) etc. etc. Lots of tea (sometimes beer) & I finish off by frying proper home made chips (if I get round to it & have enough spuds) Tongue Grin

HMK now that sounds like fun , but i dont drink tea only coffee , so if you chuck in a mug of coffee and a drum kit . we will arange a date .

But it would good if you could make it over mate , unless your planning to watch the footy on sky . Hence the reason why im haviong it this week end , her in doors is a arsenal supporter and so is the father in law , and its a night mare watching them both scream at the tv.

So can i have a show of hands for sunday afternoon .
form an orderly cue :
