I've had that light for faulty alternator, busted sensor (as you say, Sean), and knackered coil!
Seems to cover a multitude of sins............

It's a pleasure - glad I was able to help.

I know what that "where did my exhaust go?" feeling is like. I drove two thirds of the distance between Lincoln and Heathrow Airport and back again in a VW Caravelle that blew out part of the downpipe.  Undecided Undecided

I caught my first Manta hatch's Jetex exhaust on a very poor road surface which resulted in it getting wrapped around the rear axle and had to be hack-sawed off. Does that count?? Undecided Undecided Undecided

Of course it does!! - Must have been a harrowing and exhausting ride for you though. Bet you were really hacked off  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You can read the fault codes without  a reader if you need any help i can give you all the information you need to do it yourself.Saves wasting time and money changing what might be the wrong bits.

remeber getting my senator stuck on a speed bump in newcastle,
and by stuck i mean back wheels off the ground,
5 people in the car,and back wheels off the ground, total bottomed out,had 4 people sitting in the boot and we couldnt move it all, could lift it off etc
evently some big yank tank took pitty and towed me off the speed bump, leaving my brand new cats, center boxes and back box on the bump,

try driving a senny though newcastle with 5 people in it,crusty archs and the zorst hanging out the sun roof,
how i didnt get pulled god only knows
oh yeh i then drove from newcastle to milton keynes with only the down pipes,
THANK GOD VAUXHALL PUT A GOOD RADIO IN
