This came up as an accident, and goes by trust only I think. Moerators can advise and over rule. I know that a lot of people are looking for parts for their car, but may also have parts or something another member has in return. What was mentioned was a form of 'Swap Shop'. Post what you require or have and PM back with offer. That way will block up site pages and see how it goes........... This WILL have an element of trust, but think by now we know who are the regs on this site and are top dollar. What do you think? ? If swap is agreed, item sent (or items) or can use the net working system. If things dont work, Hit list for offenders. People will save having to send cash and get the part they need and also get ride of a part they no longer have no need for. Just a thought, but hey.............I am mad! Regards Carltonman.

As I said before, I think this idea is great - IF it is not abused. More opinions needed though.

I do think more opinions ARE needed. All contributors, please advise your thoughts. Trust is the key factor. Helping is another.

Simple, share experience and keep a look out.
If some one asks, a reply is free. But people can see the topic and then it goes from there............
Could be endless................

Seems like a top idea to me. I have most of a 2.6 CDXi sitting around. I would rather see the parts used than rot. Quite happy to let parts go on a maybe in the future basis, after all if they are not used then they are useless. Its tricky as a lot of parts are 'potentially' worth a lot of money, but to my view the potential good will is worth a lot more. Am I talking cr*p? sorry its late here, liverppool just been stuffed and I am in 'Jeffrey' mode (hey Pedro you have invented a new phrase)

Hello Whippet,
Hamish here
Carltonman is unavailable at present, but I think you are along the same lines.........he is nuts by the way.
WHACK..........
Hamish, get out a here!!!!!!!!!! Idiot.
No think it should have a defined guide line. Open to all to discuss. But a part saved is better than a part chucked away?
Regards
Carltonman

Something kinda started a while ago - I remember selling a rear spoiler to Daz (Mr. Blippi) and he put up "positive feedback" which was nice, and I did the same for him as he turned up when he said he would! Surprising how many people say they want summat, trade is agreed, then don't bother to turn up when you're sat around waiting for them - not even a call to say they can't make it for whatever reason (no-one off here in my experience!).
I've read posts that say thanks to other members for help/parts etc, and I've suggested a section for sellers, whether trader or private, and thoughts on transactions, good or bad.
Seems like alot of us are singing from the same hymn-sheet, doesn't it!
P'raps Admin could sort summat out to make it easier to see who's a tosser and who isn't??
Like a "Trader Section", including ebay/internet links where we can see if it's worth buying from someone, or indeed selling to someone!

Pedro, I know what you mean but cannot put my finger on it. In a swap Shop it would all come down to trust. A few of the older members have been here a while now, and know each other. Was just a thought....If wanted, tell me where to get off.
Regards
Stuart.

I think your idea is a grand one, Mr. Man! I was just thinking of a complete section with all this kinda thing in it - sub-sections for internet links, ebay items, and our own feedback - maybe in the For Sale and/or Wanted sections? I know what I mean, but Mr. Fosters might be clouding the issue..........BURP!

Well have to ask The Colonel as well as he is the one who would have to implement the whole job. I've traded a few parts with chaps on here and never had any problems, but as was said - trust is key. Those from this forum I've had parts from or sent to have always been men of their word, those include Ian, Blippi, Tetleysmooth, Big Rod and many Times Mr. Mad - there have been others that I cant recall on the fly but all have been straight down the line. For me it's what makes the forum the success that it is. I'll get off my soap box now. Day

At the moment, I'd swap my job for a pile of dog poo. Anyone wanna be an artic driver for Tesco? Wouldn't recommend it though.
Thanks for the kind words in the previous post Day. I always try to honour my deals if I can. Swap shop is a great idea.
