its the er, diameter of the centre hole.  Tongue Grin

Seriously though, it helps locate the wheel on the hub, if the wheel has a smaller centre hole than the car you are fitting it to, it wont fit. Not without a visit to the machine shop to have the centres of the wheels  bored out that is!

If a wheel has a larger centre hole, it WILL fit BUT will be a pain to get the bolt holes lined up. You can normally get plastic rings to suit from Alloy wheel places. Spigot rings they are called.

HTH!

Because I have just read all that and then completely forgotten it I will just come out and ask, will Vectra B phase 2 GSi (6 spoke) rims fit my Carlton. I have seen some on a GSi 3000 back at Billing a few years ago, but couldnt find the owner to ask if there were any mods to make them fit.

They will fit but the offset is wrong.

You will need to fit spacers to make them look right.

Yes............and look shit! Shocked

Why?

Offset, mainly.
FWD rims just don't cut it on RWD cars dude - OK for razzing about (and drifting, where the rear tack being a tad narrower helps the arse get out!). You can do it, of course, but we'll all point our fingers and ridicule.................no, seriously, the wheels would look lost under Carlton/Senator arches.

Imagine putting summat like Saxo wheels on an Elsie! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Omega B seem to suit FWD wheels better, but still wrong......... IMHO.

I thought they looked good but if the car was Simons then he definately had them fitted with spacers to fill the arches out properly!

It was a red one - H806PWP. It looked awesome! I was soooo enthralled.

The other option is the last Omega Elite wheels which are chunky and would look luxurious (and bling).
