Mondello Park presents 'AUTOFEST' in association with D1 Drift Series.
Irelands premier motoring venue 'Mondello Park' and National Drift Championship promoters “D1 Drift Series” are set to join forces for the biggest automotive show of the year. Driftings top drivers and the unique features of Mondello Park will combine to present 'AUTOFEST', a new motor show that will combine static and performance competitions with on track action and a host of stunt and specialist car displays.
AUTOFEST will be a single day show taking place on Sunday July 31st at Mondello Park and making use of the Co. Kildare venue's 100-acre site to present the most comprehensive motor show yet seen in Ireland. The unique layout of Mondello Park will allow the D1 Drift Series to showcase a number of activities, which would ordinarily be forced to run at separate events.
With a huge number of entries expected for all categories AUTOFEST will have lots to see and do for show visitors. On top of the Motor Show element of the exhibition there will be many other vehicles on display including Custom Car Clubs and a number of car owners clubs.

SHOW ATTRACTIONS

D1 GRAND PRIX from Japan
Topping the bill & all the way from Japan the D1 Grand Prix Top drivers will be putting on a drift display like no other. See Ken Nomura & his Blitz Skyline, Kunni in his Signal Auto Car & the Sumo Power 350z for the first time on Irish shores. The cars will be on track to amaze all with there incredible car contol and drifting techniques. If you don’t know what drifting is about then now is the time to educate yourself. It doesn’t get much better than this. One not to be missed.

Round 3 of the Irish Drift Series
In association with the Daily Star one of the main attractions will be the Irish Drift Championship, it will be located in front of the main straight at Honda curve, which offers the best viewing possible. D1 Drift Series Irl has the biggest reputation in Europe when it comes to drifting. All ready this year Irish drifters got 1st, 2nd & 3rd at GTBattle in Rockingham England. Damien Mulvey the man leading the Irish championship also leads the English championship. And with a number of Belgian, Dutch and English drivers entered it is due to be closest and most excited round yet.

Bolddog Freestyle Motorcycle Stunt Team
AUTOFEST will give its motor show debut to the most outrageous and extreme motorcycle stunt team to hit Ireland. Bolddog is based on the latest in extreme sports action, incorporating the most innovative ramps, equipment and talented riders. To perform these amazing stunts they have the largest most sophisticated landing ramp ever seen anywhere in the world!
Will they be able to complete the challenge set to them and jump the pedestrian Bridge!

Time Attack
Just how fast are the current crop of modified cars, here’s a chance for owners to find out. The top ten fastest road legal cars will go head to head with some of Mondello’s quickest racecars to find the fastest track car in Ireland. Ranging from Ferraris and Skylines to rally cross cars, this should be a thrill to watch.

Stunt Plane
Eddie Goggins, one of the Ireland’s most accomplished aerobatic pilots and 5 times Irish National Aerobatics Champion will display his amazing skills in front of the main straight. Eddie will climbing to 2000ft at 250mph with a force of 8G before spiraling back down to earth in a rolling spiral. His amazing routine also includes Loops, Hammerhead Stall Turns, Inverted Barrel Rolls, Flat Rolls, Flick Slides and Tail Slides.

HKS Europe Drift Car
Former HKS Japan (D1 Grand Prix) and current HKS Europe drift car will take to the track to show the Japanese that Ireland also has drifters of worlds class. The man behind the wheel is none other that D1 Drift Series IRL driver Julian Smith. Julian will take to the track as HKS Europe’s no1 driver and will be handing free merchandise to spectators on the day.

D1 Drift Series Umbrella Girls
Get your photograph taken with the beautiful D1 Drift Series Umbrella Girls. They will be walking the paddock throughout the day handing out free merchandise and entertaining the crowds.

Auto test Demonstration
Auto testing is driving specially modified cars through a pre-determined course defined by cones. Competitors compete against the clock but must not touch the cones or stray from the course in order to avoid time penalties being added. The skill of the drivers is second to none and it comes as no surprise to find out that this is where Russ Swift started!!

Karting Challenge
Indoor Karting is great fun, but what about the opportunity to drive Mondello Park’s twin engined Pro Karts on part of our race track.
Great enjoyment for all visitors on the day!
