Well before Man of Kent starts spamming my thread with pics of his 'pimpin hoes' i best post an update Grin

This is how the old barge currently looks, in all her glory at the national meet

The wheels are my favourtie mod so far, theyre 16x8 BMW wheels redrilled and refurbed, cost abit but look the same as the old senator alloys only more meatier

Also fitted these opel badges to the bonnet and wheels

I had the rear bumper modified to match the front, by adding the lower half of a GSi bumper to the standard rear bumper.  Was an absolute pig to fit according to my bodyshop friend but looks the part once i had it sprayed to match, this meant i also had to modify the exhaust tail pipes, look better hidden under the bumper.

The tailgate had gone rotten so replaced this with one i got from Carlton_Mad/Murph, while it was being painted i removed the tailgate wiper and washer assembly to give it a cleaner look Cool

wasnt all fun and games though, a few months back the indestructable 12v decided to let go in a big way, by stripping down the old engine i can only guess the head gasket blew, filled the cylinder with water which it couldnt compress, so the conrod tried to escape out the side of the block Shocked

Luckily on ebay there was a senator being broken with a 12v goldtop so was easy to replace, have kept the cylinder head from the old engine in case i may need it in future Smiley

Finally recently i upgraded the tired front discs and pads to black diamond grooved discs and fast road pads which feel alot better Smiley

didnt go completely to plan though as one of the sliding pins had siezed and sheared when i tried to free it off Undecided

And thats it for another year, MOT coming up soon but future plans include window tinting (need to fix a window motor first) and then a respray maybe Huh

Nice one. You've obviously spent a lot of time and effort on it. Looked good at the 'big meet'.

Well due to lack of time i havent got round to MOT'ing the barge, she needs a little bit of tlc so have parked her up til the new year.  Before i did i gave her a quick clean and took some photos, you can see the 'temporary replacement' in the background Smiley

Merry Christmas everyone Grin

I do like this one. However, I would not be without the rear wiper.

Thanks for the comment, I personally prefer it without the rear wiper as it just looks 'tacked on' like an afterthought, never used it alot either and the motor packed up, being a lorry driver I'm used to not being able to see out the rear window Smiley

I know what you mean about not being able to see out of the back window. Driven plenty of vans and seven an' half tonners. I use the rear wiper a lot on mine. With or without the back wiper, I still like this one.

Westminster blue metallic/mica if I recall, unfortunately it has suffered from the usual vauxhall lacquer problems in places, needs a respray really, probrably just get a blowover as I don't want a full resto as it'll lose it's usefulness.
