I am trying to rescue a Black Senator 3.0l 24v CD from the scrappy.  I need a couple of bits to help me and they need to be a cheap as possible. Wink

I need the following, (Although if anyone is breaking a complete car I could do with a few niggly interior bits)

2 rear doors
bootlid
front and rear bumpers

I would consider buying a complete car if the engine has gone but the body parts are good (Rusty arches no problem)

I am in Essex so the nearer the better although I have an estate car and would be willing to travel for the right parts at the right price.

please email me on bstirrup@cbcuk.com if you have anything.

Thanks Grin

Will search for his post then, thanks again.  Norfolk would be fine, only 2 counties from me and I am on the border of Suffolk anyway. Grin

2 rear doors

Scabby on the inner edges - In what is commonly called primer (polac white)

bootlid

Yep fine again in white/primer

front and rear bumpers

Have front in silver rear in white

Front has small crack under foglight on one side
Rear has little scuff on white section under the black plastic on one side

Other little bits probably avaliable but in all case you are gonna need to be very quick to collect as the car has to go early next week and as a general rule I don't kep stuff I don't needI am in Essex so the nearer the better although I have an estate car and would be willing to travel for the right parts at the right price.

I've emailed you and posted above

I'm on the Norfolk Suffolk Border 11 miles from Bury St Edmunds

Bit's don't get much cheaper from anywhere BTW - I'm not trying to make a profit merely cover the cost of purchase and recovery of the car  Grin

Thanks for the reply.  I am realy looking for Black panels to avoid the cost of getting them resprayed.

If it is OK with you could I come and have a look to see if you have any of the following bits.

Rear O/S Passenger kick plate (Black rubber bit is missing from mine)
Fusebox cover (light grey material)
Ashtray (Mine is stuck shut, proberably full of buts and I may need to break it to get it open)
Auto box bit that stops you seeing all the dusty bits down below the centre consul
Alarm box behind the glovebox
Digital Dash for 24v Auto

and maybe other bits I have missed.

I am off line now until this evening so please dont think me rude if I dont reply straight away (My kids swimming lessons at 10.30)

My mobile number is 07973 346978

Some idea of costs on these bits would be appreciated.  Wink

I've got a the digi dash if BC hasn't. I'm just past the Dartford tunnel in Kent. I've also got a couple of black centre consols and a set of rear lights that go on the boot lid if needed.

You will struggle there.....

If it is OK with you could I come and have a look to see if you have any of the following bits.

Rear O/S Passenger kick plate (Black rubber bit is missing from mine)

Not sure what bit you mean here but £1 if I have it!!!

Fusebox cover (light grey material)

Like gold dust - long gone - first think anyone ever asks for  Shocked

Ashtray (Mine is stuck shut, proberably full of buts and I may need to break it to get it open)

yep - 50p

Auto box bit that stops you seeing all the dusty bits down below the centre consul

NLS and always broken butthere is a guy in the ABS who makes them - i don't think he posts on here

Alarm box behind the glovebox

Yep 50p

Digital Dash for 24v Auto

Several last time I looked £20 - no facilities to test them at the moment so I usually say take several and return any that don't work fully !!

and maybe other bits I have missed.

I am off line now until this evening so please dont think me rude if I dont reply straight away (My kids swimming lessons at 10.30)

That sounds great.  I recieved your email thanks.

I will take those bits then, tommorow evening is fine.  Can you email me your address and phone number (Postcode is good as I can use my satnav) and I will call you before I leave.

I live in Braintree so proberably 45 mins to 1 hour away.

I will be stripping the interior tommorow for cleaning so may have other bits I need when I get there.

Thanks again.  Smiley

You just missed a complete black Sennie on ebay by a day or so, looked pretty good too and went for pennies.
Keep checking though, it may come back on.

I was watching it, I even was talking to the Guy viia email, he recognised me from MIG.  It only went for £56.00  Trouble is I would then need to get it home and I used up my AA excuse getting mine home. Roll Eyes  I thought it may end up costing over £200 with trailer hire and Hireing a pickup with a towbar.  Am still kicking myself. Angry

If it comes up on ebay being broken could be ok.  I did spend a long time the evening before it ended hovering over the bid now button. Grin  The deciding factor was that the rear doors had some surface rust along the bottom so I could not warrant the cost as the doors are the worse bit on my car.

If anyone knows who has it or see's it being broken I could use the bumpers and bootlid though. Smiley

Ian or bstarchild, I dont suppose you have a standard Senator alloy (the one with the difficult to clean design)  I have a tyre that keeps deflating and the guy who sold me the car said the rim was damaged inside and needed a refurb.

That sounds like a great idea to keep these cars on the road.  Can you PM me anyway, I wanted to come and get some bits from you this evening.
