when i switch off the engine a small `F` shows up on the bottom left on the display... when i switch on the ign and start the car it goes away... any idea`s as to what is causing it... or if i ignore it will it cause any problems....

Not sure, but is trying to tell you that there's a fault of some kind, as per the digital dash?
WOW! Gotta be the first time I mentioned the digital dash and not typed the word "gay" in association with it.
