I have the above head unit which i bought new but want to fir to diffrent car. Thing is have done so, but needs a code putting in through the hand held key pad, and guess what, lost the slip that came with it from new. Any one know the program code or where i can get it?

look in the yellow pages there are companies that will decode stereos they usually charge between £25-£60 so try and find that slip of paper and if you do have it recoded put the code in your mobile so if you have to change the battery for example you can get it working with no aggro

it's not a number code. Hand held control unit as various functions outwith numbers and that's part of the code. God help me! : Undecided

have you got the recipt?

if so contact the firm you got it from see if they can help.

or contact sony give them all the details you can and see if they can sort you out.

other than that you might need a new stereo. Bummer!!!!!!!!

had this prob with my old sony (but since i've 4got the code) i'd put a thread on a bigger forum like dare i say Mig, I had a reply with in half hour  Wink

menu enter mode open/close
seek- seek+ mode open/close
off pty/disp mode open/close

got these off radio fitter friend and he says thay work on 99% of sonys

I tried all the above re-setting each tme, and none did the trick. I must be the 1% :-(
