When i switch me lights on on my carlton the battery indicator illuminates and the f on the trip comp appears. and when i start the car the abs light stays ion with battery and and the other red light other than the handbrake. PB the alternater is disconnected, if this makes strange happenings. But really could do with one if any ones got one  Grin  Wink Cheesy

I used to get similar symptoms from a GSI I had.

It had a duff battery and when it was idling, the dash played a merry dance.

LOL!! my battery is relatively new halfords one, me thinks its just because the alternatnor is not conected, a hope.

Good place to stick a warning in for anyone with a 24 Valver and a digi dash..................

Never run the car with out an alternator connected - it fries the dash!
