Okay... mabye not everyones taste but I like this Smiley
Has anyone added guages like vacuum, oil pressure, voltmeter etc into a carly? I was looking at the space below where my stereo is and was thinking mabye a nice addition at some point, and wondering if anyone has had a go at it. Any reccomendations on where to get the bits from?

PS If you have digital dash - you already have voltmeter & oil pressure - if you still have a trip computer then set on instantaneous mpg it's as good as a vacuum guage - So that'll be a change to digital dash required if yours is analogue  Grin

PPS That picture above is not using a blanking plate cos the fit is lousy in the aperture

FPMSL @ T240 comments! Grin Grin

I was thinking of fitting a volt or ammeter and oil pressure guage in that slot when I get rid of the gayness from my dash. I'll be making mine from 5mm ally and painting.

Funny... the reason I asked the question was seeing the gauges in the 'ultra rare' T240 !! (mabye it was an option! Smiley Smiley ) That's exactly where I was going to put them.

But, I have an analog dash - surely I could just add the sensors to the car and wire them to new gauges?

IIRC, vacuum gauges have a green bit (driving economically, an orange bit (geting a bit exited) and a red bit (slow down you crazy hoon, it's costing you a fortune in fuel!!), and the needle points to the corresponding part of the gauge to (allegedly) match your current style of driving.

The Instant Consumption does kinda the same thing - in my Meega, when you floor it it can read 3.5mpg (lowest I've got so far, anyway!), but when you let off, it can read 999.9mpg.

Hope this helps!

Ye, I realised it did that - just thought from what you said it used the vacuum to work it out.
Ive no idea how it does it but I'm guessing it must know how much fuel the injectors are kicking out and works it against the mileage.

Anyway this is getting off topic now.
