fog lamps stay on

now the carhas recently had quite abit of work so dont tell me to retrace what ive done as every part of the car has been off!,
but for some reason the rear fogs stay on,yes ive swaped the switch,
i know its earth but any one cross this bridge beforE?

try the bulbs themselves they are probably in the wrong way round   i know that "cant" happen but i see it all the time or the filaments inside the bulbs are shorting out

Ian - have you used Irmscher units, or even the Irmy bulb carrier?

I didn't know until a couple of weeks ago, but the Irmy items have a blob of solder from the sidelamp bulb + to the foglamp  bulb + on the carrier, and there was a 5W instead of 21W bulb in the foglight.
I think the foglamp switch bulb was lit too.
I swapped for a standard carrier, and all is well.
