I think it was one of the tail end conecting steel pipe things on the fuel sender plate had rusted away and started to seep whitch in turn ran around the seem of the tank and ran down the straps leeding him to think the tank was busted.

cure?
 simple Grin

 remove pipe cut off raggy end refit further up tail end with propper injection fuel clip.

preveous owner put a new fuel filter on and forgot to tighten rear jubilee clip up , petrol was running back and dripping from tank, 2 pac got it nearly right Grin
