red dash lights stay on

thanx bernard,will try that in the morning,,just one thing tho..red lights on dash stay on even when ignition is switched of..alternatore i tried was a second one but i take what ur saying is if once i disconect the alternatore if lights no longer on when battery reconected alternore could be the fault still..if lights still on must be another power source supplying power

disconected wiring from alternatore but lights still stay lit on dash..last thing to try tomorrow is take ignition switch {the black part on end of barrel } and see if that cures it..if not will have to spend monies and get vauxhall to try and sort it out

Just athought m8,have you fitted a different radio latetley. You may be getting a backfeed through the Auxiliary supply of the Radio
