can any one tell me if my car looks lop sided and if the indicators look right? to me its lop sided and the indicators dont look right, ive never thought they did ,but now im amongst experts i value the opinion, would the face lift indicators fit better or are they supposed to look like this? the bonnet sems to have a rather large gap between it and lights , is this supposed to be ? all opinions valued

the gap is ok, yes it does look lopsided but when there is a driver in the car it levels out (most cars are set up this way) the indicators do look a bit wonky but they may need taking out and re-seating there are slots in the side  of the head light and corresponding ones on the indicators the facelift ones would not fit (they are a lot bigger) unless you were fitting facelift wings of course!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for that, no plans to change the wings unless they rot pmsl. i think the indicators are in the right place just the gap seems a bit big under the bonnet.

The gap between the bonnet and grille on mine is too big, IMHO, (about the same as yours), but if I adjust it to look right, I can't open it without some pushing down on the front of the bonnet as I pull the release lever - I've tried adjusting the cable, but to no avail!

I think the bumper on the nearside looks a tad down under the headlight/indicator (not a critiscism at all!), copmared to the oddside and perhaps that's why you think the indicators look a touch wonky?
Can be a PITA to get panel gaps spot on, especially with plastic panels such as the bumper, but perseverance is the key.

Yeah the panel gaps are a pain at the front Mines the same. Id check the indicators. My passenger side one fell out a few weeks ago on the way to london somewhere on the M1. God knows how it came out.

Looking under my senny i look like its been used in for stock car racing has crooked bits galore.  the boot floor is as flat as jordan, the panels behind the bumpers are as straight as a mafia boss lol.  plus side it look solid and free from rot which is more important, unless i was gonna try and rebuild a prestine car.

Its a ex police car and i think it was used to ram a few crooks off the road lol

Cool car matey - I don't usually like the look of prefacelifts but that one is well tidy... (and it has the correct number of pedals too Wink)

You might want to lose the cable tie from the rad hose to the ignition leads tho mate - you don't really want that hose touching the cam cover cos if it gets hot it will start to slowly melt the hose and it will then be a weak point.... Wink Plus the fact that it looks wrong too.....Roll Eyes
