Trip Computer wiring

Would it be fair to assume that if the wiring is present for the switch to plug into (by the handbrake where the window switches plug in), the plug for the computer unit itself (behind the clock) should also be present?
I cant find the bugger!

Got the same problem Murph - haven't found the "yellow" connector that fits to the trip computer yet - although have yet to look behind the heater control centre when I eventually do the illumination upgrade.
I too found the switch socket under the centre console behind the handbrake.
Do let me know if you find it

When mine was a 2 litre, it had the wiring at the handbrake, but no yellow plug for the computer.
Now it has the 3 litre and associated wiring, it has both.
Got three computers, and none work............unless it's the wiring!
