Good call Ian!

If it's gonna be within an hour of York, I don't mind an evening meet - as long as I'm not rockin' somewhere!

If's going to be near york then its has to be somewhere on the A64, as it's accesible from the M1 and A1. Preferably the south side of york on A64 as getting to the North side can be slow going with heavy tarffic. Weekend would be the best, (for light reasons), but maybe evenings in the summer?

Howabout the Fox and Hounds pub on the A64 (Westbound) at Copmanthorpe, or Buckle's Inn (Eastbound) a couple of miles towards Leeds?

Agree, A1237 is slow - not just at weekends, but all the bloody time...........

What boozers are near south of York with a decent carpark and grub? Im thinking of maybe 2nd weekend in March? Propose a Saturday aft? How many are actually goin to turn, dont want to turn up on my own like a lemon! Might mention it on ABS forum also? Just read this months magazine, there is a northern group but (i dont this dont' offend em) they are shall we say somewhat older! would be nice to get a mix though as I bet there really knowledgeable on these cars. I was reading an article in Practical Classics the other week about the younger generation getting into classic but for some of us i.e me these are classics!

Cheers

BTW:

There is a new ABS meet starting up for T'Northerners

As Ian is inviting people to the Norfolk meet, (and Diplo-Matt I know you're an ABS member anyway), I'm sure nobody will mind a few peeps from TC coming along?

1st sunday of every month at TGI fridays, J27, M62 from 1pm.

That means that the first one is this coming sunday.

See Y'all there Grin

I have no problems with TC members using the Mimms meeting either to meet up - more the merrier and vive la difference!!!
