2 Carltons, 5 litres, 10 cylinders and one turbo

Does anyone at all know of any other LET carlton existing? I know about that mad LET senator in Europe, but is there any Carltons about with LET's in? Usually the rule is that someone has always done it before you have but it would be so cool if I could say 'I was the first'  Grin

Anyone at all?

John.

I don't know of any, but I think there are reasons why it's not a popular conversion:

- There's a bigger engine available as standard with the same standard power as the LET
- The Carlton engine bay is rather big and it looks kinda lost compared to the 6-cyl.

And more points too, which I reckon is why not many people have considered it.

Not saying you're doing a bad thing, just not many people would consider the transplant.

I can understand why you're doing it tho - I know you can tune the LET up to more BHP than a 24v. Wink

I know what you thinking of, the engines themselves are very strong and hardy. So is the 6-speed gearbox fitted to all of them as standard.

You are thinking of the 4x4 transfer box, made totally from pure whole grade organic chocolate...

you think I am joking

Mate's DTM Calibra chucked it's transfer box a couple of years ago, luckily, he got it fixed and paid for by the VX dealer he bought it from (he also works there).

That'll be two grand then!!!!!!!

Just thought, he also said that XE and LET sump gaskets are in 3 (?) pieces, but the *valve is one peoce -what's more, it fits XE and LET engines and stops the factory fitted oil leak!
