As the title says, we have snow falling and its settling. Cleared the car windows before setting off. Got to the road end, all clear of traffic then had the back end out. Nothing like going up the road sideways. How's the saying go, get the back end out or GTFO. Gotta be done. It would have been rude not to.

Its been stopped a while now.
Got in me car last night and the ambient temperature was -5 below. There has been a severe frost on higher ground up the road, which looked like snow. Its been chilly willy weather.

It started here near Wolverhampton at 13:30 with fairly big flakes, rapidly turned to a steady fall of fine stuff which is still falling. The forecast showed that the Midlands is to have a thick wedge of it this afternoon and overnight  |

Had more and it stopped. Coming back home and the momentum was taking us nicely up an incline. That was until some prick in a Fiesta decided to stop. Went to set off again and no traction. Had to carefully turn around and come back up again. Still ended up sideways and that was with winter mode selected. Still had a manic grin on me face.

12cm here on top of Bluebell Hill. We are snowed in with just 4x4's moving at 8.30am sunday. TV shows vehicles moving on the M2 across the medway Bridge.
Was going to the VODC meet at Shorne but no way.

Had to pick my sister and Brother in law up in Stone nr Dartford last night, barge coped ok til I got to a hill just past bluewater where it struggled, kept going sideways and caught the kerb scuffing one of my alloys Took the wheel off today and repainted it, next time it snows I'll be fitting steel wheels. |

Dropped Paula's mate off last night. Went over the back road through Penycoedcae, down the Graig and into Pwllgwaun. Beddau to Penycoedcae was a doddle. Penycoedcae wasn't too bad, but when the descent down Graig started, care and skill was needed. Dropped Stacey off and the return leg up the Graig was tricky. Went all the way up with the gearbox in winter mode. I could feel the rear tyres slipping while fighting for grip. I guess its about 1:4 incline for a good distance. The old blue barge coped well.
Earlier on, Stacey's aunt Sharon, who has an Isuzu Trooper, struggled on the same stretch of road. Does she know how to drive it? Probably not. She has it to tow a horse trailer.
