Cross post from a member on ABS. Hi, My Dad's winding up his classic-car enthusiasm, so he's looking to give away an engine on a stand.
The Engine is collection only and is free! he would like some money for the stand if you want to have that as well.
He appreciates it's a piece of heritage so is reluctant just to throw it away to the scrappers.
We think the engine will have done around 180,000 miles from what we understand the history. We have had it for 3 years sitting on its stand without being turned. I guess before that it was not fired up for at least 18 months, so nearly 5 years total.
The alternative is to break the engine in to valuable parts like the head, crankcase etc and sell these plus the engine stand as separate items and we'll store them for a little while.
Engine: Free
Stand £70 New on Ebay, and we bought it to specifically stand this engine. Cost to you = £whatever you wanna pay for it.

Yer gotta get it at that price. Stand is good if anybody is building an engine. Wish I could help.
