This is breaking my heart to do this, but alas this car needs the attention that I USED to be able to give it, not what it's currently (not) getting Sad

1990 (G) 24v Manual in Glacier white
127k miles
17" alloys in grey, recently refurbished 4 good tires
Private plate comes with car (Valued at £300 online, I actually refused an offer of this amount late last year, as I couldn't be arsed with changing the plates)
Decat pipes fitted.
Cav Turbo springs on rear (Have originals too)
Digidash model
Cruise control that's been fixed so it actually works!
Fully serviced in August 2010 including leads and rotor & dizzy
New clutch in May 2010, diff oil was also changed
New rad in Dec 2009
Rear arches are spot on, having been replaced in 2008 (full receipt with car) and cleaned inside arches regularly.
Just had a brand new Bosch fuel pump (fitted yesterday), and also a genuine GM pump relay.

Bad points:
Front N/S arch is shot, an incident with a puddle also ripped off the bottom skirt Sad
Underseal has been spilt on the rear bench seat!
No Tax (SORN) or MOT.

I did spend ages sourcing a wing and a skirt, which was why the vehicle was off the road for some time, but them some thieving scumbag helped themselves to the contents of my garage and they, with many other valuables went missing!  Roll Eyes

This car was my pride and joy, only ever really getting used for shows and events, and the occasional summer's day drive. Sadly work and other commitments have left it standing on the driveway for over a year whilst I sourced the parts needed to repair it. Now that they've been nicked I've lost all motivation for it, and if truth be told I haven't got the time any more either. The car looks s**t at the moment because it's been standing for over a year, but other than what's been mentioned is in good condition. Underneath was welded for the last MOT, and everything else was structurally sound. Whenever it was taken off the road for the winter I put the car on stands and washed all the grime off underneath, undersealing in places it needed it. I put the battery back on today and fired it up, and after about 3 seconds of cranking came straight to life, before running out of fuel after a couple of minutes  Embarrassed

Previous to me it was owned by another enthusiast on VxON, and again very well looked after. I'm ashamed of the state that it's in right now, it's a poor reflection of the care that it has received in it's life.

I've got to stop kidding myself that I'll find the time to do the required work on it, and want to see it go to a home where it'll get the attention that it deserves again.

This is without a doubt the most enjoyable car I've ever owned!

Some pictures of it clean:

And as it stands on the driveway:

Honestly I'd love to.

I've been toying with selling it since my arch and side skirt got nicked (I can understand the arch, it's metal. But the side skirt WTF?!!!) and that was back in October.

The reality is my work has took over so much that my time at home has got to a state that it's needed for R'n'R and family time, then it's back to work!

I can't envisage me being able to spend the time needed on it, rather than the money. And that's the saddest thing.

These things are thin on the ground now, the good ones (which I still regard this as) need to be enthusiast owned to keep them that way. I have the interest, just not the time.  Sad

Right, there's a few people messaging me with interest etc, so I'll summarise for anyone interested in here Smiley

* Car does run, but will need to be trailered away due to no MOT or Tax.

* The car is in good mechanical and structural condition as far as I can tell, it's covered minimal mileage since last MOT. It has never been a 'daily driver' in my possession. Having said that, I don't have a crystal ball so can't be held to ransom over what, if any work will need doing, to get it a new ticket

* Due to work commitments, I'm not available to view during the week. And as we have dark nights at the moment, I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a car at night anyway.

* Best time to view is at a weekend , however I'm not free this Sunday.

* I don't want to take any deposits off anyone before viewing the car. Paypal fees are extortionate, and it might not what you're after anyway.

* Anyone is free to come and look, prod, sit in, and hear it running. You can move it backward and forward down the driveway, but I will not allow it to go out on the road illegally. The car is in my name, and as I work for plod..... not a good idea to suggest so.

As there's plenty of interest I'll hold off putting it on ebay, largely due to the fact that I can see it getting a much more loved home through someone on here or an. other enthusiast forum. However it's a case of first to buy gets it I'm afraid.

Apologies if all that comes across a little blunt, I just keep getting alot of the same questions asked  Smiley

It's only due to the interest youve got and how cheap it is that I can't afford to pay my neighbour with his recovery truck and come all that way to find out you've sold it, like you said.. First come first serve. Plus I can only do Sunday, and by next weekend it would of sold I would of thought

That's the only reason I would of gifted you a deposit (so no fees) and it's a project to me so I wouldn't even need to look at it. I never mess around, if i say im having something then i have it, your description is clear. I would of made this perfect again to the standard of my omega.

Unfortunitly looks like the search is still on for one, if you do put it on eBay let me know

Good luck with the sale

Thanks

Jason, calm down chap. I'm not taking a pop at anyone, if it appears that way.

The vehicle as it stands is unsold, there's interest but nobody has said 'I want it'. There's plenty of 'Can I come and look' and 'I'm interested' but nothing confirmed.

I would advise anyone to view a car before they commit to buy it, even if it is my own. I'm just an honest chap, and only wish to show I have nothing to knowingly hide.

If you're really sure you want it, and are happy with that before even viewing it, then be my guest, it's yours. I don't want to take a deposit off anyone, that's my point. I don't like the notion that I have some of your money, but you have nothing for it at this given time.

Tell me you want it, I'll remove it from sale, and you can pay in full when you get here, my conscience will be much the better for it.  Wink

I'd be overjoyed to know it's going to a good home! Smiley

Right, this is back up for sale now.

Was working fine when it was last for sale, and then all of a sudden wouldn't get fuel to the engine. Changed the relay under the bonnet, which didn't solve it, so had to order a new boshe fuel pump.

Now it's running sweet again, so is back up for sale.

I'm going to wash it tomorrow, and take some new photos and probably a video of it too. Runs an absolute dream, just needs a new owner with a little time and enthusiasm for the car scene!
