17" Vectra C SRi Wheels + Tyres (Refurbed & Sprayed Black)

Ive got some 17" SRi alloy wheels with 4 good tyres, wheels were professionally refurbed and sprayed black about 3 months ago, no kerbing or anything, tyres have loads of life. Look stunning.

215/50/17 tyres, 2 good year and 2 infinity

Obviously fit omega's, carlton's and most 5 stud vauxhalls and saabs

Wrong offset for Carlton and Omega.

Not sure about the Carlton but omega offset is practically the same

my old 19's I brought as a vectra c fitment, my steel wheels I use are from a vectra c and my mate has vectra c gsi wheels on his omega.

Can fit between 35-42 on both the vectra and the omega without any issues
Omega is et38 and vectra et41. I've never been able to notice that 3mm difference

All the models vary too. The omega irmscher sport stars are et30 from the factory. I've fitted et40 on the rear of mine to allow for the 9.5j rim sticking out

offsets mean nothing as long as its not a massive difference


Can't be much different to the Carlton ? Either way they will fit, spacers are always available anyway

I suspect that increased offset could make a difference to the camber (especially dynamically) and hence increased inner tread wear

Hence, why rwd wheels and fwd wheels have different offsets.

they will cause the wheel bearings excess stress due to throwing the kpi (king pin inclination) out

K.P.I. is the angle of the suspension through the wheel/tyre at the point it would contact the road this needs to be as close to the centre of the wheel/tyre as possible

add to that the fact the tyres will probably rub on full lock it and that the handling will probably be all to cock too makes for a fair reason why you wouldnt want to fit these WITHOUT spacers 8mm thick!!

Cheers mate, that's a fair bit of difference so wheel spacers would be needed as suggested


As for camber an offset comments etc, I guess it depends what you want. I've set up negative camber for all 4 wheels on purpose and along with the coilovers the handling is on another level, Which would obviously mean silly tyre wear on the inner edges yes but my car only gets used for fun on the weekends.

I see a lot of people using omega B elite and mv6 wheels on Carltons, guess their using spacers.

I personally Don't like spacing wheels, kills the handling. But someone may want to fit these to a Carlton with 8mm+ spacers. everyone's different
