I am selling up the various panels I have collected over the years of ownership due to losing storage and have put them up at pretty much scrap value, in the hope they can help someone.

I honestly thought they would have flown out, but not even had one sniff.

Does anybody still collect panels or do those that collect them have everything half a dozen times over?

If the experience of the Manta, Monza, Mk2 Cav, Astras etc are anything to go by these will become very rare in a couple of years, once the spares cars dissappear (and it almost seems to happen overnight). Then people will be scouring the country for them.

Should I be entertaining scrapping them, or even selling them now, or should I shove them up in the loft for five years and them pull them out and ask premium prices, as seems to have happened to everything Vauxhall which is that bit older than the Carltons?

The only thing we ever seem to sell is doors at the mo - the wings we have have been there for years.

I would probably keep hold of them to sell on later.

I did ask about the wings and because of my location i asked about postage but got no response,If i'd gotten a response you would have gotten them sold and any cost incurred i would have covered plus a bit for yourself for the help.but if you dont have the decency to reply to posts dont expect to sell anything.

The post you put up implied to me that you weren't really that interested. I can check the postage if you give me something to work on, an address or postcode maybe.

I would rather they were collected as they are large and fragile. And I don't want or need any potential hassle from them getting damaged en route.

If you are genuine then give me a shout and I'll see what I can do.

The original post here was regarding the fact that I find it difficult to believe that noone who is into these cars the way we here on TC are is willing to put what is essentially very little money towards keeping these panels either for a resto or just in case some idiot knocks into their Carlton.

The only reason I am selling is that I am loosing storage and cannot keep them inside any more. It also means that I am going to be selling the Daimond and that saddens me. Reality must take place though and I cannot give the time to tidy her up and keep on top of her as she deserves.
