As the title suggests, I am on the lookout for a cd changer hanger/bracket for the Grundig 10 disc changer. The one I have is out of my Diplomat saloon and I want the one for the estate.
The saloon one is of no use, as it is not the right shape or size to fit where it should in the estate car.
If anybody has one that they no longer require then give me a shout.

Presumably the one in my Blue estate would be it. And I really must start taking it apart. Waiting for MOT on the Rioja one which is waiting for fix to engine starts but dies when warm. Which is waiting for my finger to become free (after Christmass).

I take it that you still have the changer as well? Don't need that as I've just had one off Dave (flash1664) for £20 inc postage. Cheers Dave, nice one mate.
What head unit do you have with the changer? Is it the standard Vauxhall one? I may be interested in the lot, head unit, changer, the blue lead etc. If you want to do a deal let me know.
I definitely want the hanger, that's a must. I wouldn't mind the other changer and head unit as a spare set. Always worth having if mine goes tits up.

Head unit - I assume the user interface bit in the dash ?. If so thats a working Grundig but its replacing the duff Grundig one in the Rioja estate. Probably got a spare changer (used about 5 times in the last 12 yesrs !).
Hold on to the old one. I have a mate who alters PCBs. He has to change the wiring layout on ONE board by drilling holes and inserting wires or drilling holes to cut links in multi layer boards. He has to be 100% successful as there are no spare boards. I want to see if he can fix things like radios. Should be a doddle for him if its a dodgey component like a capacitor etc. As long as its a standard component and easy to see its bust then easy to fix. Capacitors have a limited life especially the dodgey ones found in so many computers from 2000-2005 Windows XP's greatest weakness !!. He could fix the motherboard in my computer but it was 6 capacitors of a silly size so was easier to buy a newer motherboard that could take more ram. Not so easy to replace a radio so hold on to it as it might be easier to fix. I wonder about the cars computers. We shall see.

What is a PCB?
My head unit works fine and so does the changer off flash1664. The changer I had out of my Diplomat started to skip tracks, play parts of others, skip discs, repeat some others. So I guess its knackered. I haven't taken it to the recycling yet, but I have no use for a non working cd changer.
Are you wanting to part with the cd hanger for the estate or not?

Bracket should be available eventually.
PCB = Printed Circuit Board all the other components are soldered onto it, as used in radios computers etc etc.
CDs jumping. Could be because the drive is bouncing around too much (try not moving the car !), dirty reader (briefly try a CD cleaner disc - wet one kinder than dry), try the offending CD in a different drive (incase you have not tried yet).

The cds weren't at fault, its the changer. Same faults regardless of cds.
