Am I the only TC member in south Wales?

« on: December 14, 2011, 08:44:34 AM »

Yesterday we had our first slippy roads of winter. Driving through Beddau on to Penycoedcae, through Graig and in to Pontypridd, I had to engage winter mode. It didn't take much for the back wheels to spin while in Drive. It wasn't snow that made the road slippy, it was the hailstones. Several times we had hailstone showers of biblical proportions.

What does GTFO mean?  Had the back end out earlier in the day.

We' ve had a few spits of snow here today, and I've seen a few cars coming from a bit further into Kent with a good coating.

Let the fun commence!

Quite a lot of snow on Bluebell Hill in Kent this morning. Its when you have a manual car that you see the loss of control with an automatic. Used the Rover 75 auto tourer as the manual club estate is in storage for a while until I get over my op.

Very slushy outside this afternoon with temperatures to be below freezing on the Downs tonight. Exciting in the morning!

Still waiting here for snow. Been rain and sleet, but no snow. Still, the back end hangs out on wet tarmac. As its a rwd, it would have been rude not to.
