Anybody any experience of having dents removed by these guys who come to you? I've a couple of shallow dents in the doors but no paint damage so dont want to fill and spray. Can they get them out? Anybody in N Kent?

Gentle heat and then a cold fan to spring them out? Have heard this story.

Never heard that one before. Depending on where they are, remove the door card and placing something suitable on the outside of the door panel, again using something suitable from the inside, tap the dent out? I should imagine if care is taken, no further damage should occur? I haven't tried this method, but I've seen it described somewhere, can't for the life of me remember where!

Ive had several done on various cars by the people who work them out without damaging the paint.

It works and its very clever stuff.

Well worth the money in my opinion. I think the last one I had done cost about £35 last year.

Can't argue at £35 for a dent removal.

These dent people are awesome, think going rate is about £40 a panel and if they don't get dents out they don't charge Wink seen a few done and you can't see where they were Wink

and they can do it even if the metal is stretched, not just popping it out, its reshaping the metal.

Found a couple of people locally, so I'll wait until the car is back on the road. In the garage at the mo on a SORN until I recover from my op.

At least I think its on a SORN. Sent 2 tax discs back on 2 cars with SORN boxes ticked in ONE envelope. DVLA then sent me a tax reminder for the Carlton. Phoned them and said I know you received the SORN because you returned some tax on the other vehicle. Their reply? People always say that!

So now I have to wait to see if I get a fine! Better write to them I suppose.

I wouldn't trust the DVLA as far as I could spit. They'll always try some stunt to extort a fine to swell the coffers. Tried it with me and I won. Twice.
