A posh name for sill covers.
I was looking at a Carlton brochure, 93 models, edition 3, published September 93, when I discovered that they were an option on the Plaza, Club, L and GL models. They were standard on the CD, CDX, Diamond and Diplomat.
Do they really make that much of a difference? I have seen. Carltons without them on and they look good. I was toying with the idea of removing them from my GL estate.

To me personally i would keep them if you at the bumpers they kinda flow along the lines, without them they look odd TBH
They do make handy rust traps though

They are definitely rust traps, as I found out on my Diplomat and I've just seen a lightweight Senator. Very lightweight that was. Gaps everywhere and metal nowhere.
Have they any purpose for aerodynamic use, or is Vauxhall's blurb to make them sound better. Sill covers or aerodynamic sill mouldings?

If you remove them you'll have all the mounting rivets sticking out of the sill panel which will look, er, unusual!

The mounting rivets would be removed.
