well been on here a while decided to start a thead on my project progress is slow duew to 3other projects going on aswell but here goes

saved this omega a from ending in crusher got it for really good money,solid in most of usual places boot floor spare wheel well arches and sills,however front chassis leg does need attentition but thats all i can see for now until i start to strip it




chassis legs needind welding


theres some pic sof the starting point anyways have a few plans for it all going well
gsi kit
gsi interior
gsi wheels
new arches sills while its getting painted
slammed to the floor
and an omega mv6 engine with a few mods

well thats it so far will up date as i go comments welcome Grin

Its always good to see another one saved. The usual places they rust, aren't no different to a lot of other cars of the era. Nobody seems to mention a Bentley of the same vintage with tinworm. I've seen it and believe me, a Carlton is a better proposition.

Keep up the work and enjoy the car.

Doesn't look too bad, if its just the top part that's gone it's an easy fix, trying to make room to get to it is another matter Cheesy

cheers for comments lads,yep jus ttop  of leg gone so is an easy fix(hopefully),getting access should be ok when i drop engine out i suppose?

ah the moment just working stripping it down at front bumper wings bay ect tidy up any surface rust waxoyl the inner wing ect..

The best way to remove rust is to cut it out.

i definatley agree with that will be waxoyling the whole car as i go tho anyways to stop anymore rust setting in
