I'm looking for a pair of tailgate struts for my 1993 Carlton (obviously!) estate.
Preferably I would like new ones, but they are stupidly priced.
So if anybody has a good used pair they wish to off load, I would be interested.
Let me know how much including postage and I will paypal the money.
Thanks in advance.
Kevin.

I have been told that there are two different types of tailgate strut for mine. One type is for the tailgate without speakers and the other is for the tailgate with speakers. Have I been fed crap? I can't see two speakers making much difference in weight, but I could be wrong.
Tomorrow morning I have to fone Vauxplus in Caerleon, Newport as they have just had an estate come in late this afternoon and they haven't looked at the tailgate struts.

I had a look and a pair are almost £38 inc vat and postage. Bit different to £12.99 each as stated. Price is plus vat. Also there is delivery at £5.30 and then there's vat on the delivery as well.
I was kinda hoping I would be able to source them cheaper due to me being financially embarrased.

If your aprt No. is 90246621 ( speakers fitted) they are the same as the Vectra B according to E.P.C., might help you finding one in the breakers.

I got a good used pair for a tenner, so I ain't complaining.
While I happened to be in Vauxhall, I asked about the tailgate struts. Hutchings Vauxhalk, Pontypridd do not keep them in stock. They can be sourced at a cost of £66 EACH plus vat!!! I was also informed that the Omega B estate tailgate struts are different. Now I know different.

It may be that they are rated for a different weight. I'll try the carlton ones on the Omega tomorrow and see how they compare.
