it does state at the bottom of the listing that he'll adjust postage costs when he knows the exact amount including insurance.
ebay did have a fair postage charge policy set up (to stop people selling stuff for 99p then charging £1000 postage & packing
they scrapped it because it was not working .

Yep - I'm the seller. It would need to be sent with an insured value in case it got lost. So the postage cost is dependent upon the final selling fee. My aim was to overestimate so as not to then be accused of trying to charge more than the advertised cost. It actually states that in the listing. Looks like some people need to be more trusting. Postage will be what it actually costs. No more, no less.

Just in case anyone was interested, the postage cost (via Parcel2Go) is more than £25 with the item insured for the value of the winning bid. But of course I am only charging £25.
