Playing with a Carlton 2 litre lump (1993) at the moment .Its being fitted into a mk3 astra van
Got everthing in and wired but the coil was missing from all that came from the donor , which is long gone now
All I have is the 2 pin connector and we have been through books today to get a part number for it and have 4 different ones listed , looking at the pics they all have 2 threaded studs on them and look the same
Question is does anyone know the part number of a aftermarket coil for the carlton 2 litre on a 93
Its motronic 1.5 that doesn't use a ignition amp , all the ones we looked at had related amp nubers with them

The part number and code shown on the item below is exactly the same as one supplied for my 2.6 and will probably be OK for your purpose; at least it has the correct plug on it !

Incidentally, both plugs are internally connected and either can be used.

The other thing I would recommend is that you ring and ask if the picture is of the actual coil, they often just use a generic picture.

Thanks for that , gives me some where to start with having the Bosch number now
The aftermarket coils come naked , the carlton connector has to be unbolted of the old coil and fitted to the new , but in the books thay are showing 4 different coils that look identical but its the electrical side that concerned me , with the wrong coil the ecu could fry as is fed direct from the ecu
