As far as I'm aware, if something is classified as a holiday home it can only be occupied for 10 months of the year!

You are not even allowed to stay overnight in a beach hut!!

I believe that they are to be built on stilts to enable you to see over the sea wall to a beach that is only there at low tide and then consists mainly of rocks and seaweed with the occasional patch of sand.

However, knowing the Isle of Wight, they will probably sell Roll Eyes

There are some beach huts about 1/2 mile down the seafront towards Ryde about the size of 2 sentry boxes; I was amused to see one of them for sale a couple of years back for £8000 Roll Eyes

It now seems that it would have been an absolute bargain if anyone with money that's irritating them in their bank account buys any of these.

I shall watch with interest; however, as I have said, nothing would surprise me on the Isle of Wight; I could show you properties that have been built that must have cost millions Roll Eyes

There are people with VERY serious money to spend on the IoW Shocked

I saw a very large and exotic motor cruiser that must have cost well in excess of £100 million at anchor off Bembridge for some time and the ship to shore radio traffic was in Russian ! (an 'oilygarch ?)
