I had a flat battery so I put the charger on for a while but still when I turn the key nothing happens, doesn't even try to turn over. There is no sign of life anywhere like the clock is not working, windows etc...

Seems maybe I have blown something while messing with the charger?

I've checked all the fuses and they seem ok, where else should I look?

That was just for clarification, but still..... silly bugger!

The ignition circuit, engine management and clock are all on different circuits so it wont be a fuse.

I reckon the battery is deader than a dead thing to the point of non-continuity!

try jump leads see if the windows work etc but disconnect the earth lead first!! connect the ground to the lifting eye on the cam cover also check the ground connection from the top of the alternator these give no end of headaches and get overlooked very easily!!

Thanks for the replies. It did turn out to be the battery flqat as a pancake. Picked up a new one now £48...

I seem to have broken the stereo though. Lucky it wasn't a good one.
