Since you so kindly pointed out my misunderstanding, I've bought the remaining pair Wink

I'm probably going to have difficulty with the air fitting though because whatever it is that holds in the pipe was seized solid on the old ones and I had to cut the pipe off Sad

I've got them and everything looks fine Smiley I still can't believe it though, two brand new saloon air adjust shocks for £35 !!

They even have a brand new dual mass flywheel for the Carlton at £50, which I would imagine is a bargain !

I've suggested that they join TC and put any other surplus items that they get specific to Carlton/Omega A/Senator in the for sale section (I've pointed out that it's all free !)

The only thing other than the height adjustable shockers was the 24v clutch master cylinder... its a LHD unit but I bought one anyway.

It's worth keeping an eye on their ebay shop, I was told that another load of parts came in this week; no idea what though.

Just got a coil of 3mm OD nylon tubing and still waiting for a couple of 3mm pipe joints as a 'just in case' measure for when I come to fit the new shocks.

Both were a sod to find; there's loads of 4mm stuff about but 3mm is like rocking horse turds Sad

Many thanks for the offer but I will be elsewhere, otherwise I would have been severely tempted to have a run down; especially in such glorious weather.

I hope you all have a great meet Smiley

Fitted mine a couple of days ago and they're fine Smiley

Had a bit of work to do forming the ends of the nylon extension pipes I had to get because I cut off the originals because they wouldn't come out of the shockers Sad also, I didn't believe that I would ever find some air adjust units at a price I was prepared to pay Roll Eyes

I also had to buy some small 'O' rings and push in pipe connectors as well as some nuts to replace those stupid domed nuts provided; they don't pull down anywhere near far enough Angry

I was somewhat concerned after I first inflated them because they seemed to be losing pressure but that quickly stopped; I reckon it was due to the rubber gaiters stretching gradually (they have probably been in storage some considerable time Undecided)

Thanks again for pointing them out Smiley have you fitted yours yet?

Not yet.
I had to upgrade the brakes on my Xantia and get it MOT'ed + get it out of the garage.

Mot man did nose job on windscreen at first junction  Cheesy. OOPS forgot to tell himabout brakes.  Roll Eyes That'll teach him not to moan about no servo on them  Huh they're powered brakes not servo'd.

Then When I got the carlton in the garage I found a small hole in the N/S rear wheel arch thats letting in water into the boot. Shocked

Luckily I'd already got the wheel arch repair panels(as a precautionary measure) Roll Eyes and it covers the hole. So a little bit of cutting/welding and making good this weekend.
After that I'll fit them.

Glad your's are O.K.

I've had time to get the feel of them now, they have lifted the back by around 30mm which I'm perfectly happy with ! (I keep them at 20 psi rather than the recommended minimum of 12 psi)

They seem to absorb bumps much better than the 'bog standard' shocks even though a 'bounce test' doesn't look much different Huh

The car seems to be more 'rigid' and it certainly corners better Smiley

That reminds me, I must check the pressure in my rear shocks.
