Diabetic drivers will be banned from driving under EU rules: It would make more sense for anyone caught with, or found to have used illegal drugs to lose their licence Angry

Just another excuse to get us off the road if you ask me.

Won't affect the druggies or drunks though as they don't have their GP declaring to the DVLA that they have a problem...
Oh, and what about the uninsured or unlicensed - hmmm, won't be affecting them then will it...?

Bloody EU - biggest pain in the butt since the needle... Angry

It is quite obvious that we car users are frowned upon. So those in authority choose to pick off the minority groups first in the hope that there wont be many of the majority left.

Notice how you cannot keep a car parked on the road if it does not have TAX or Insurance. But you cannot pay the tax if you have no MOT - even if you do not intend to drive it.

My residential parking permit has gone up to £70 pa. I swear it only just went up to £45 last year. Oh and it says they do not guarantee a space !. Location - Croydon (twinned with Beirut).

Theyll only lose their licence if they report It to the DVLA, like if you suffer from a Heart Attack, then I guess youll then have to prove you don't have anymore episodes of hypoglycaemia over a certain period to get it back.

All you'll get is people not declaring it, which is okay aslong as you don't have an accident because of it Undecided

£70? You are lucky - I'm in Lewisham and it jumped from £65 p.a. last year to a whopping £120 this year - oh, and the Mayor of Lewisham makes no apology - he needed the money to put up new signs saying 'Welcome to Hither Green'!
Yeh, you read it right... Angry

IF you could get everyone to refuse to pay for a residential parking permit unless they could Guarantee a parking place.

They would have no choice but to guarantee the parking place or lose the revenue. Shocked

Other choice use public transport. I.E. BUS/TRAIN/TRAMS

Then WALK yes I said WALK to your work/shops/home.

OR you could RIDE A BICYCLE.

If none of those options appeal to you then you could always MOVE to the scottish highlands.

NO parking permits or restrictions just a bloody long journey to.....

....Well Anywhere really Cheesy Tongue

I.E. nearest:-

village/shops/P.O./Garage= 10.4 miles
Town/Hospital = 48.6 miles
City with all of above + cinema = 90-110 miles

Ain't life a bitch Grin Grin Grin
