If it's central you're looking for, why not try the place I got the VODC booked into for a Sunday meet last year, which went down quite well. It's Dobbies Garden World at Gailey that's on the junction of the A5 and A449, a few minutes from junction 12 of the M6. They have a grand food menu and there's something for all family members there, plus for those in need, there's the Spread Eagle pub next door. All the parking is on hardstanding and there's pleanty of it. Many car clubs meet here and the manager is very accomodating providing he has been given fair notice, which I can do on the group's behalf if wanted. Cheers, John.

Tbh john the majority of people who have said they will come are from the southern half of the country and due to the lack of interest from our more northern members i think Sixfields is ideal and is definately going to have enough parking due to it being situated in a retail park!!

Well, maybe this venue could see more interest from members in the northern half of the country. Still up for helping out if accepted. Cheers, John.

Northampton, Northamptonshire NN5 5QL, UK
It's an hour and a half from Telford, Shropshire according to google maps
it's an hour and 20 mins from me in derbyshire (though I might be able to improve that time  Wink)

The venue I proposed isn't actually in Telford, it's some 11 miles east of here, very close, as I mentioned earlier, to junction 12 of the M6. The actual address is: Saxon Cross House, Watling Street, Gailey, South Staffs. ST19 5PP if that helps. Cheers, John.

It's 32 miles so close to me too but that was not the point I was making was that the Northampton meet is about as far away as everyone who's thinking of going.
though that does not rule out a small meet at the gailey venue later in the year  Undecided

just found out today that I might not be in the country from early October onwards for a while, but if I am, I'll do me best to be there.

Tbh john the majority of people who have said they will come are from the southern half of the country and due to the lack of interest from our more northern members i think Sixfields is ideal and is definately going to have enough parking due to it being situated in a retail park!!

Bladdy 'ell, Mr. Mad - you sahnd loike an Orterbarnstowmer, innit bruv! Shocked Shocked Shocked

I'll tell you why there's not much interest from us poor, God-fearing Northern folk - is because you soft suvvern shandy drinking puffs rarely venture past Northamptonshire. It's got North in the name, so that must be North!
You lot come up here for a meet and I'll believe differently! Yeah, it won't happen!

 Grin Grin Grin Grin

To be fair, all banter aside, I know a few of you really do venture Oop North now and again. Wink

Sixfields, Gailey is too far especially when you consider there is only skoota who is bothered about driving distance and there is limited response from northern members anyway
