Hi Everyone,

What's best for painting/rustproofing the engine sump?

Would stonechip be any good or will it cause overheating? Huh

Any help appreciated.

Got mine Powdercoated, but I'd imagine Hammerite or similar would do.

It is claimed that many kilowatts of heat are removed from the oil by the sump, so it may be worthwhile reading the article in the post below before deciding what thickness of coating you put on the sump Undecided
