Welcome to TC and congrats on buying possibly the best car you'll ever own! That'll clean up really well. Can I ask why the bonnet was removed?

thankyou , the bonnet has been of for years , when the last owner had it ye did some engine work and put the cams in the wrong way (causing carnage ) so the engine was changed but when fitted it was noticed the sump was cracked , so its just sat for the last 6 years in that state ive now bought it and the garage have changed the sump, and got it running for the first time since 05 it is now having the heater matrix changed and a 5p sized hole welded under the bonnet then il get it and start the clean up

Greetings. Welcome to the wonderful world of TC.
It may be your first, but it won't be your last. A big old barge they are, but they are still one of the most comfortable mile munchers out there. I can do a four hour non stop stint in mine easily and I have osteoarthritis in my spine, hips and knees. That's how comfortable they are. As a comparison, me mate has a V reg Fraud Mundane Ghia and after two hours its time to pull over and get out. Its nowhere near as comfotable.
