The title refers to me. I have just bought a Viceroy! It is optional PAS and Auto, 44k and an MOT. Why?

I remember by dad, as a 7 year old boy, in 1980, bristling with pride with the delivery of his Carlton estate in powder blue, coming home from the pub and announcing that he had seen a man who worked at the Luton plant. The man had turned up to the pub in a Viceroy. The sense of excitement was huge. The pub was the Compasses in Clophill, some 15 miles from Luton.

Within a year, my dad had died from Leukaemia. My son is now 7.  When I saw it, it made a 'connection'

So... Watch thus space

So

A strange set of pictures to those who aren't aware of the structural issues these V cars have. Non parallel shutlines is a clue, as are tyres worn on the inside. Seems fine

Nothing idiotic about that Mr 2.6.

I always wanted one of these during my Royale days.

That looks in nice nick, considering so many have gone the way of the pear.

Right then - car picked up and evaluated

Roof, bonnet, rear wings, boot lid all have peeling lacquer
chrome excellent
interior excellent
engine misfire on tickover (suspect ht leads)
savable turret turret rot
wings rotten at the bottom

All very original - will post some pictures of work as it progresses
