So this is a bit of an old thread I dragged out of the Hello section....

Its a 1992 2.0 Gli Auto, bought it back in April 2010 from eBay for the pricely sum of £230. It had been sitting on a driveway for 18 months as the elderly guy that owned it previously had passed away, before that he had new discs and pads fitted, new cam belt, plugs and leads and 4 new tyres and a new spare and a full new exhaust system, so all in all was a very good car for the money! Needs a little tidying up, usual dents/scratches for a 19 year old car but other than that in beautiful condition. Just had to replace the windscreen wipers and it flew through the MOT.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update:

Had it for over a year now and it's been a pleasant one at that! Have had to do minor things to her to keep her going, new radiator and normal service items. Had to do a little welding on the chassis leg and the sill but other than that it's been spot on. Finally got around to lowering it over the weekend as well. It's only 40mm but that's enough for me, here's some pictures...

It has settled down a little more as these were taken just after I'd finished. Should hopefully have colour coded a set of mirrors by the weekend as well. It's taken a while but its getting there  Smiley.

That's just what I thought, (moody skies, depth of field etc...) Me thinks Stemo is familiar with photography.

Got a mate I work with who's into photography, got all the kit and does brochure work.

Getting him to do shots of my car (when it's finished!!)

Sorry, hi-jacking done  Wink Looks great.

I may be a little familiar  Tongue. Photos 3, 4 and 5 were done on a photoshoot with a friends car last summer. (shameless self plug www.slitwristphotography.co.uk)...

Yours will look blinding, should be a brilliant set of shots!

Cheers.

This looked great at the meet!

I used to have a Gli Auto but it was a pre face lift and in a bit of a state.

It's even got the electric ariel too!

Is this car lowered atall?  Or is it just your photography skills? Nice website btw.

It is yeah, only 40mm but really helps tighten it up round corners. I need to get some newer pictures of it in that car park sometime to be honest.
