Doh As amended... The 12v GSI's did not apparently get classifiied as "A" for automatic. I can confirm this as my 12v GSI was an Auto and there is no "A" on the log book. My Diamond does, again because that was an Auto.

Does the Diamond stats include 2.0 versions or just the six pots The stat are reported as Auto and Manual only, so, must be 3L and 2L together. can we check this is live date as i just taxed mine ! These stats were for the Quarter 4 2010. I taxed all 3 of mine again for 6 months on the 1st April so stats will not incude these. It's alarming when you look at the figures compared with two, three years ago. If it continues in the same way

Just checked for the prefacelift CDX Manual - Licensed - 3 Sorn - 4 Auto - Licensed - 4 Sorn - 9 Looking at the registration year there is only one '89' left each for both auto and manual, could the barge be the only 89 manual left

The 2.2 Carlton cd manual seems to be a rare beast - 1 taxed example left in 2010 and I presume that is mine! I didn't realise this site existed - thanks very much

The figures are a guide(but to be fair they are not far out!!) The DVLA being the DVLA sometimes provide the right info sometimes they done, i can account for 2 manual 12v`s and 1 manual 24v,although they are scrap on paper they are still here.
Fancy a laugh?have alook at MK2 RS escorts.......yes more are on the road now than when new!

That's my concern regarding these figures - How many cars off the road still exist or are even able to be returned to the road. How many cars on the road are almost off the road as they are being run into the ground. What these figures do show us is, for the last 8 years 50% have gone year on year.

Il grab the up to date DVLA records, then if people privide number plates of known scrappers then we can cross them off, 12v auto that will be the rarest i think!

I had a peek for the 2.0 GLi estate, but it doesn't differentiate between saloon and estate. It does have individual figures for auto and manual GLi.
A 92 Diplomat 2.0 is no longer with us. It was mine.
