http://www.tridenttrailers.com/towbar_wiring_diagram.htm

If you look behind the spare wheel you should find a small plug that the OEM wiring would plug into. You can connect your wiring to this plug.

That's the right connector.

My Haynes manuals are both in my garage at the mo so I cant check it for the wiring colours.

I'll get my manual later today and have a looksie mate.
The info is there but you have to trace the wiring diagram through to find the rear light units and get the wire colours from there.

OK here goes...

red                     - +12v
red & grey           -Tail light right    - Socket pin 5
black & green       - Indicator right  - Socket pin 4
black & white       - Indicator left    - Socket pin 1
black & blue         - Fog lamp         - Socket pin 2
black & grey         - Tail light left    - Socket pin 7
black & yellow       - Brake lights      - Socket pin 6
Socket pin 3 should be connected to earth.

The +12v is used to wire the brake lights via a relay so that they are nice and bright.
Sorry for the delay mate - got stuff going on...

Theres also a fuse to put in the fuse box to get the turn signal warning light on the dash pod, can't remember which fuse number it is.
if you can't get that to work you'll need one of those anoying audiable bleeper things  Sad
though they make tail / indicator light bulbs with a beeper built in now .

There is also a relay plug ,around the top of the spare wheel area ,with the correct relay you can cancel the fog or brake lights out from the rear of the towing car to avoid red glare if your towing a pikey palace.

It's a replacement flasher relay you'll need to get the dash light to work.
I'll have a look at mine and see if I can get a part number.

Failing that you'll need a beeper as Dave says.

*EDIT*
It seems there is no part number on it - mine is completely blank and unmarked!

Connect it to the brake light wiring via a relay - otherwise they will be very dim.

The +12v is for caravan electrics i.e charging onboard battery, 12v lighting and so on.

Thats because you havn't got the special relay in the boot.
One of the things it does is connect power to the brake lights on the trailer, it also stops your bulb failure system from giving false info.
You can get them from..

Part No 91149226

Also you can get the dedicated wiring kit part No 91145850 £25.24

Maybe I should consider fitting a tow bar to my estate.
