of these

I already had the arch repair panels but spotted the inner repair panels on eBay.de and at 56 quid a pair thought why not.
So I now have the complete collection, inner and outer arch repair panels, both rear quarter lowers and sill skins.

Was under the car the other day putting the cat replacement pipes back on and had a good look at the inner sill area, it's all good only a slight bit of surface rust here and there, nothing major to worry about.

The start will be delayed somewhat, I go off to work on Monday and this weekend there is a pool party/BBQ after the Grand Prix and sunday WILL be a day of rest, so come July (hottest month) I start the strip down to get the old girl ready for the body shop (still have to find one).

She's looking a bit tired, what with the sun and not having a cover.....

The good thing about the dry climate is the rust has not advanced at all

Looked like that when we left the UK in 2007! Gotta love living on the edge of a desert!!!! (Tabernas, if anyone is interested)

Get things like this in the garden.

3 inches long!

So while mine is in the body shop we will be using this

Diesel is cheaper than petrol over here, the equivalent of 1.16 pounds a litre.

Hopefully the body shop will be taking pics during the work, I will of the strip down of course.

Until then.

Looking like a lot of work! Luckily you have most of the replacement panels. How come there's so much rot on it?

I don't recognise the wheels. What are they from?

So much rot due to being a UK car for the first 15 years of her life Wink Salt on the roads and just general dampness. Most of the time the rot was damp and didn't look too bad, kinda merged in with the general crud so didn't see it too much and it had previous (bad) rear arch repairs done at some time before I got her.
Looks a lot worse than it is, underneath it's still solid with just some cosmetics needed. Hopefully I'll find a good body shop that will check everything at the same time. I would like her to last another 19 years!

The wheels are from an Irmschir Senny, a 4.0 ltr I think. I do have the centre caps with special centres. There are some pics on here from a while back.....
